Similar to the EX30 RPM, the EX40D forestry mulcher is designed for use on 13 to 18 tonne excavators.

With a 40 inch cutting width, larger drive motor and a heavier frame construction the EX40D excavator mulcher can withstand the heavier down pressure associated with larger excavators and deliver higher productivity especially higher volume brush cutting applications. With unmatched boom response for this length of brush cutter and the ability to spool from 0 to 3500 rpm in approximately 3 seconds, this unit delivers excellent productivity in a super tough lightweight package. Working at full reach and down over banks is a breeze with this bulletproof unit.

The Torrent forestry mulcher chips and mulches the wood with minimal horsepower required. The fixed cutting design forestry mulcher head will suit either wheel or skid mounted machines. Requiring less horse power for drive this light weight, heavy duty, robust forestry mulcher cuts through timber with ease. The cutters can be turned four times meaning the owner has multiple use out of a blade set without the need to replace cutters. Torrent forestry mulchers are Canadian built and come with a five year frame warranty.
